ExpressSend ® International Remittance Transfers Questions

The Wells Fargo ExpressSend Service is a person-to-person remittance (money transfer) service that offers you more options to send money home to your family or friends in Mexico, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, India, Philippines, and Vietnam. It’s economical, convenient, and dependable.

You can send money from an eligible Wells Fargo checking or savings account. You can also choose how your beneficiary receives the money — either to for cash pick-up or credit into their account at the receiving bank.

There are two simple solutions for sending money home:

  1. Transfer money from your eligible Wells Fargo checking or savings account to your beneficiary for cash pick-up.
  2. Transfer money from your eligible Wells Fargo checking or savings account to your beneficiary’s account.

All the options may not be available at all Remittance Network Members or locations. Please refer to country-specific pages for more information.

To be able to use the Wells Fargo ExpressSend Service, you will need to enroll in a Wells Fargo ExpressSend Service Agreement.

What is the Wells Fargo ExpressSend Service?

The Wells Fargo ExpressSend Service allows you to send money to family and friends abroad. This service is easy to add to your eligible Wells Fargo consumer checking or savings account to transfer money to your beneficiary by establishing a service agreement. You must be a sole owner, a primary or secondary joint owner or have power of attorney on the funding account to use ExpressSend. Customers who have not reached the age of majority in their state of residence are not allowed to enroll in the Wells Fargo ExpressSend Service. Many countries have restrictions that limit the ability of a minor to be the Beneficiary of a remittance transaction. The Sender must ensure that their beneficiary is eligible to receive the funds sent to the designated Remittance Network Member.

How do I enroll in the Wells Fargo ExpressSend Service?

It’s easy to get started.

Step 1 – Contact us. Talk to your Wells Fargo banker today, to learn about the options available, and select the option that best fits your needs.

Step 2 – Provide your beneficiary's information. Tell us who should receive the money (beneficiary) and how you want your beneficiary to receive the money (cash pick-up or credit to your beneficiary’s account ). Provide us with the necessary beneficiary information once; no additional forms are needed when you want to send money to the same beneficiary again.
